Il piano traffico adottato a Napoli non ha comportato alcun beneficio per i taxi drivers, portando l’Associazione Taxi drivers di Base a rivolgersi a quattro avvocati per richiedere al Comune l’eliminazione delle tariffe predeterminate.
In the letter also sent to Mayor Manfredi, the association's lawyers, Osvaldo Ciriello, Emilio Coppola, Luca Meola and Emiliano Saltelli, highlight that the Christmas traffic plan has not improved the traffic situation in the city. On the contrary, they underline that taxi drivers are still trapped in congested traffic, mainly due to the significant flow of cars and tourist buses, aggravated by the precarious condition of construction sites and roads in various parts of the city.
The four lawyers explain that this difficult situation, combined with the lack of a specific traffic regulation plan, negatively affects travel times for taxi drivers.
Faced with these circumstances, taxi drivers are forced to ask for the revocation of any form of predetermined tariff, in accordance with the 'Asset' decree, which requires the municipalities of metropolitan cities to guarantee commercial speed to taxi drivers.
