A young man of foreign origin was surrounded and savagely beaten by a gang of six people in NapoliThe attack took place in Corso Umberto while the boy was returning home from work.
The three scooters with the attackers on them surrounded him and beat him for no reason. Only the arrival of a Municipal Police car made the six cowards desist and they disappeared.
The young man suffered trauma to the eye with a fracture of the eye socket. After initial treatment at the CTO, he was transferred to the maxillofacial department of the Federico II Polyclinic in Napoli.
“The management of the Policlinico confirmed to us the hospitalization of this young man,” commented the deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who learned the story from a witness.
"It is an unstoppable wave of violence that will get worse if we do not intervene decisively and firmly: certain and harsher penalties and more officers on the streets. It is no longer tolerable that those who leave their homes live constantly in terror and under threat", concluded Borrelli.
The latest episode of violence in Naples is of great concern. A strong commitment from the institutions is needed to combat crime and guarantee the safety of citizens.
The police are engaged in the search for the six attackers. The investigation is entrusted to the Municipal Police.
