Moments of fear this morning in the historic Galleria Principe di Napoli, where they fell rubble from the vault, along with pieces of glass. Fortunately, no one was injured. The episode triggered the immediate intervention of the Fire Department and the Municipal Police, who promptly secured the area and blocked passage in the center of the nineteenth-century gallery.
The accident occurred around 10:30 am, when several fragments of plaster and glass broke off from the vault of the tunnel. Galleria Principe di Napoli, which connects via Bellini with the square of the National Archaeological Museum, is an important pedestrian and commercial passage, frequented daily by numerous citizens and tourists.
The Fire Department, who arrived on site with several teams, proceeded to a thorough inspection of the vault to assess the stability of the structure and prevent further collapses. At the same time, the Municipal Police cordoned off the affected area, diverting the pedestrian flow to ensure the safety of passers-by.
