A new episode of violence has shaken Casoria this afternoon. Around 19:30 pm, along the External Ring Road, at the height of the Ilardi car park, a violent attack took place shooting.
Two men aboard a Lancia Y were hit by gunshots fired by unknown individuals on a scooter. According to initial reconstructions, the criminals attempted a rapina, perhaps attracted by a precious watch worn by one of the two occupants, Kevin Di Napoli, class 1996.
Both men aboard the Lancia Y were injured in the ambush. Napoli suffered a wound to the arm, while Raffaele Scotti, born in 1962, fared the worst.
Scotti, who works in a community where Di Napoli is under house arrest, was rushed to Cardarelli in serious condition. Doctors found a laceration to his lung, aorta, spleen and liver.
Given his precarious health, due to pre-existing heart problems, his condition has been defined as critical.
The Carabinieri of Casoria and the Investigative Unit of Castello di Cisterna are working to shed light on the incident.
Investigators are analyzing the testimonies and acquiring the images of the cameras security in the area to identify the perpetrators of the vile act and reconstruct the exact dynamics of the ambush.
