An Unprecedented Artistic Collaboration Project
AGUA is an artistic project realized between Florence and Santiago de Chile, with a pre-recording composition phase in Florence and recording in Santiago. The project, coordinated by the record producer Paolo Maiorino, fuses the traditional and rich sounds of Andean music with alternative Italian songwriting. This combination has given life to a new musical and narrative style for the Chilean group, which is among the most famous in the world.

AGUA is a purely artisanal album, featuring typical Andean instruments such as the bagpipe, the Quechua, the Bolivian charango, and the Venezuelan cuatro, along with Giulio Wilson's guitar and piano. INTI-ILLIMANI
Inti-Illimani (1967) is a compound name derived from the Quechua Inti and the Aymara Illimani, meaning "Sun of a mountain near La Paz, Bolivia." The group, originally composed of a group of young students from the Technical University of the State of Chile, emerged within the movement called "La Nueva Canción Chilena" (New Chilean Song), which developed between 1965 and 1973. In 1973, they settled in Europe, specifically in Italy. Since the 80s, their career has been marked by numerous successes, reaching the top of the Italian charts and collecting countless gold and platinum records. Inti-Illimani has sold millions of records worldwide, with performances and concerts in more than 58 countries. The band has shared the stage and performed with such renowned artists as Bruce Springsteen, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman, John Williams, Paco Peña, Mercedes Sosa, Silvio Rodríguez, Milton Nascimento, Danielle Silvestre, Lucio Dalla, Pablo Milanés, Francesca Gagnon, Arja Saijonmaa, Holly Near, Joan Baez, Marta Gómez, Isabel Parra, Georgina Hassan, and Víctor Heredia, among others, playing on the world's most renowned stages. In 2017, the Chilean band celebrated 50 years of uninterrupted artistic career, an anniversary they celebrated with a tour of Chile and two sold-out concerts at the Teatro Caupolicán in Santiago.
JULIUS WILSON
Giulio Wilson, a Florentine singer-songwriter, alternates his passion for music with his work as an oenologist and wine producer in Tuscany. His artistic career began with the album “Soli Nel Midwest”, produced by Enzo Iacchetti. He has collaborated with many artists, including Vinicio Capossela, Roberto Piumini, Bobby Solo, Roy Paci, with I musici di Francesco Guccini, and with Inti-Illimani, precisely.
Wilson has received numerous prestigious awards: “Materiale resistente 2.0; the Targa Mei in 2017 as “Best singer-songwriter”; in the same year the artist won the BMA Bologna Musica d'Autore competition. In 2018, the Anacapri Bruno Lauzi absolute prize, and, in 2019, the Bertoli Prize; the Critics' Prize at the Voci per La Libertà – Una canzone per Amnesty 2019 competition; he won the 1Maggio Next2019 competition and performed on stage at the Primo Maggio Concert in Rome. In 2018 the Ep “Futuro Remoto” was released; in 2021 he published the album “Storie vere tra Alberi e Gatti”, a collection of songs “out of time”.
