Timely intervention by an Army patrol, involved in the “Safe Roads” operation, prevented a tragedy in the Capodichino airport area. Yesterday afternoon, the military on duty at the airport were alerted by the screams of some passers-by who had noticed a woman about to jump from the second floor of a building.
Without hesitation, the soldiers rushed to the scene and, with great promptness, managed to calm the woman and convince her to desist from committing the desperate act. After the intervention of the soldiers, the woman was entrusted to the care of the medical personnel, who took charge of her for the necessary support.
The episode once again underlines the importance of the role played by the military of theArmy as part of the “Safe Roads” operation, committed not only to the safety of the territory, but also to first aid and assistance actions for citizens in difficulty.
