Minister Salvini has once again attempted to limit a labor strike, this time a transport strike called by USB for December 13. Despite a previous ruling by the Lazio Regional Administrative Court (TAR) clarifying the limits of government intervention in such cases, the minister has issued an order to reduce the strike to just 4 hours.
However, the Usb reiterated that this order is illegitimate, as it is not based on any new exceptional circumstance that justifies such a drastic restriction. Furthermore, the Guarantee Commission has already recognized the full legitimacy of the strike.
“Despite the clear sentences and rules, Salvini continues to ignore them and limit the right to strike,” a representative of the USB said. “For this reason, the strike on December 13 will take place regularly for the whole day.”
