The lifeless body of Ovidio Spiridon, the Romanian man who disappeared on Wednesday from the hospital in Eboli, was found today in Salerno.
The echo of the dramatic appeal launched by the family on social media was silenced by the sad news that arrived a few hours ago.
The searches, conducted with apprehension throughout the territory, had a disastrous epilogue: Spiridon's body was discovered near the Benny Oil service station, located in San Leonardo, in Salerno. The tragic discovery was made by an employee of the service station, who immediately alerted the police and rescue services.
Spiridon, last seen heading towards Via Lampione, near the multi-storey car park in the Eboli hospital area, had disappeared on Wednesday. The circumstances that led to his death remain shrouded in mystery. It will be the police who reconstruct the events of those crucial days, from his disappearance in Eboli to his tragic discovery in Salerno.
