The financiers of the provincial command of Benevento they seized a car wash in Montesarchio for environmental crimes and theft of electricity. The military of the lieutenancy of Montesarchio they found that the individual company with the corporate purpose of car washing had a commercial premises open to the public but was not the recipient of invoices relating to electricity consumption. On site, the financial police found the presence of 6 irregular employees, 4 of whom were “undeclared”.
The company was charged with administrative violations, resulting from the use of illegal labor, for approximately 20 thousand euros. During the inspection, it emerged that the wastewater discharge flowed directly into the public sewer system and, in an area adjacent to the commercial premises, special waste from the car wash business, ferrous material, disused household appliances, mechanical parts of cars and electric motors were being detained in an abandoned state.
The financial police surprised one of those present who, furtively, approached the electrical power panel inside the premises used as a car wash and activated the levers of the electrical panel, which was hidden by a jacket placed on it. The military then ascertained that the main cable deriving from the electrical network had been physically tampered with in such a way as to furtively allow the supply of electricity.
The undue consumption of over 50 thousand euros of electricity was quantified. The car wash and the adjacent area were seized, while the two responsible parties were reported to the Benevento Prosecutor's Office respectively for the unauthorized discharge of industrial waste water and the possession of an area used as an illegal landfill and the theft of electricity.
