The cry of alarm has spread throughout Italy from a sector that has now entered a deep crisis also due to the health emergency. Addressed to the members of the parliamentary intergroup on Artistic and Traditional Ceramics, a real manifesto has been prepared that aims to indicate the route to concretely support the resilience capacity of the ceramic artisan in the Lands of Ancient Ceramic Tradition before it is too late.
It was signed by approximately 100 protagonists of excellence in the high craftsmanship of Italian Artistic and Traditional Ceramics, master owners of historic businesses that for 5 centuries have kept the torch lit in the lands of a tradition unique in the world and the pride of Made in Italy: Assemini (Ca), Calitri (Av), Caltagirone (Ct), Castelli (Te), Cava de Tirreni (Sa), Cerreto Sannita (Bn), Civita Castellana (Vt), Cutrofiano (Le), Grottaglie (Ta), Gualdo Tadino (Pg), Montelupo Fiorentino (Fi), Nove (Vi), Orvieto (Tr), San Lorenzello (Bn), Santo Stefano di Camastra (Me), Sciacca (Ag), Squillace (Cz), Urbania (Pu), Vietri sul mare (Sa), Viterbo (Vt).
A unique productive world for its extraordinary cultural value and which today is at real risk of extinction. The undersigned hope for the support of names in the world of culture, journalism and communication, entrepreneurship, design, art, Associations, and all those citizens who have the future of the Artistic and Traditional Ceramics Italian.
