The Avellino Flying Squad has acquired the cell phones of the relatives of Angelo Meninno, 52 years old, husband of Gerardina, the 46 year old Ariano Irpino died on October 31st at the hospital in the town of Tricolle.
This represents a new development in the investigation led by the deputy prosecutor of Benevento, Marilia Capitanio, aimed at clarifying the causes of the woman's death. At the moment, the case is being investigated for manslaughter, with the most likely hypothesis of poisoning. However, it remains to be determined whether theevent's audience whether it was accidental or intentional, making it necessary to investigate every aspect, also in light of circumstances reported by the lawyer Gerardo Giorgione, legal representative of the victim's relatives.
This investigative work will be supported by the conclusions of the forensic doctors responsible for the autopsy, namely Dr. Carmen Sementa, Professor Alessandro Santurro of the University of Salerno and Dr. Sebastiano Leone, director of Infectious Diseases at Moscati in Avellino. For the injured parties, Dr. Monica Fonzo and toxicologist Maria Pieri will be involved, while for Angelo Meninno, assisted by lawyers Giovani Pratola and Fabio De Donato, Professor Pietrantonio Ricci and Dr. Gennaro Beneduce will intervene.
As for the three defendants, represented by the lawyer Guerino Gazzella, namely the owners of the pizzeria frequented by the couple and a doctor from the hospital of Ariano Irpino defended by the lawyer Giuseppe Romano, the choice of the coroner Oto Macchione and Dr. Angelo Meninno will be decisive.
