In the 13th minute Meret was forced to make a double save, first on a diving Darmian and then on a tap-in from Lautaro Martinez: Barella kicked high on the third attempt.

Inter doesn't close it out and Napoli equalises with Juan Jesus
Strong start to the second half from Inzaghi's men: first Lautaro and then Dimarco from outside forced Meret into two important saves. Napoli struck shortly after with Kvara, but the Georgian's curling shot from outside was easy prey for Sommer, who blocked it.
After a few positive minutes for the Azzurri, Inter become dangerous again: Juan Jesus sacrifices himself on a sure-fire shot from Barella. Napoli, however, are there and patiently find some opportunities: Traorè's idea is to skip past an opponent and try from outside, the ball goes high.
In the 81st minute, Simeone heads in a cross from Politano, with a good save from Sommer. A minute later, the goal is scored: a corner from Politano, a header from a Nerazzurri defender and Juan Jesus is at the far post and can't miss, scoring the equaliser into an empty net.
The ending is heated: Napoli demands a second yellow card for Bastoni, while Inter loudly demands a penalty for a foul by Rrahmani on Thuram. In both cases, La Penna lets the game continue.
A few thrills but no dangerous chances in the 3 minutes of added time: it ends 1-1 at San Siro.
