New chapter in the “Dolce Vita” investigation: the investigating judge Giulio Argenio will hold the preliminary hearing on Monday for theformer mayor di Avellino, Gianluca Feast, and the architect Fabio Guerriero, both under house arrest for alleged corruption.
The charges: Festa is being investigated for subservience of functions, while Guerriero and the former mayor are being charged with conspiracy to commit corruption. Four entrepreneurs are also involved, accused of having paid money to Festa through Guerriero.
The defense: Festa will be defended by the lawyers Luigi Petrillo and Concetta Mari, while Guerriero will have Nicola Quadrano and Marino Capone at his side. The Chief Prosecutor of Avellino, Domenico Airoma, in support of the prosecutors Vincenzo Russo and Fabio Massimo Del Mauro.
Seizure of assets: Seizure of 115 thousand euros equivalent to the suspects has been ordered.
The defense strategy: Petrillo announces that he will contest the wiretaps, considered “interpretative elaborations” of dubious congruence. He also emphasizes that the asset investigations have not detected illicit money in the accounts of Festa or his family members.
