Mystery Tales: Di Giacomo in Horror Key at the TRAM Napoli
The “Tales of Mystery” arrive on the TRAM stage Drama Ricerca Arte Musica of Naples, offering a horror reinterpretation of Salvatore Di Giacomo. Theevent's audience is scheduled from November 1st to 10th as part of the 2024/25 Season and focuses on the tales of “Pipa e boccale”, a virtually unknown 800th-century opera. This production promises to bring to light an unseen, fantastic Germany, never visited by Di Giacomo, through gothic and supernatural atmospheres.
Entertainment and adaptations: between horror and thriller
Directed by Diego Sommaripa, who is also an actor, and featuring Dolores Gianoli, Francesco Rivieccio and Benedetta Cenani, the production focuses on three key stories by Di Giacomo: “Brutus”, “Suzel Addio” and “La fine di Barth”. The theatrical adaptation preserves the original setting, enhancing the gothic essence of Germany, through a mix of horror, paranormal and thriller. The theatrical performances are enriched by a soundtrack conceived to arouse suspense, in addition to the music played live on the violin by Annarita Di Pace.
A theatrical event between Halloween and mystery
The vision of Mirko di Martino, artistic director of TRAM, in bringing this little-known literary gem back to light, fits perfectly with the atmosphere of Halloween. Diego Sommaripa highlighted how significant it is to stage these tales during “the most mysterious days of the year.” The sets, curated by Nicolas La Ventura and Roberta Torriero, and the musical contribution of Gianluigi Capasso, are bringing to life a compelling show. Costumes by Dora Occupato and lighting by Tommaso Vitiello add further layers of charm to this unmissable theatrical event, created in collaboration between Teatro dell'Osso and TRAM.
