CortiSonanti: November 29th at the Cinema Metropolitan in Naples, the final of the XV edition

The 15th edition of CortiSonanti, the International Short Film Festival, will conclude on November 29th at the Cinema Metropolitan in Naples. The event will feature 45 works selected from over 2400 short films from 75 countries. The festival, directed by Nicola Castaldo, Mauro Manganiello, and Agostino Caprio, will be hosted by Lorenzo Crea. The winning shorts will be awarded during the closing ceremony.

The Festival Sections

CortiSonanti 2024 is divided into seven sections: music videos, Italian and international short films, documentaries, animation, sports and ECOrti, as well as two special contests: the Cittadella del Corto and the Social Short Web. A special section dedicated to local productions, called DNA, will offer visibility to emerging talents from the Campania region.

Short Films in Nomination

Among the nominated international short films are “An Irich Goodbay” by Tom Berkeley and Ross White, winner of the 2023 Oscar, “Room Taken” by TJ O'Grady-Peyton and other titles from the United States, Spain and Greece. In the Italian shorts category, works such as “154” by Andrea Sbarbaro and Riccardo Copreni and “Dopo zerocalcare” by Gabriele Vivante are participating.

Awards and Participations

The winners will receive the festival's symbolic statuette, created by master sculptor Domenico Sepe, and will have the opportunity to promote their works in various venues. The final evening, with free admission, will host personalities from the world of cinema and culture, including the CEO of "We Short", Alessandro Loprieno, and the artistic director of the Paris Festival, Jenna Suru.
