The commissioner of Napoli has issued 21 Daspo measures, prepared by the Anti-Crime Police Division of the Police Headquarters, against people involved in episodes of violence and disorder, most of which are linked to football matches played in Naples and the province.
The measures aim to combat dangerous behavior and protect public safety.
In relation to the Coppa Italia match Napoli-Palermo on 26 September at the Maradona stadium, five Daspo orders of varying duration between 1 and 4 years were issued to individuals between the ages of 20 and 40.
Two of them were reported for having lit and thrown smoke bombs during the sporting event, another for resisting a public official, a fourth for attempting to gain access despite already having been the recipient of a Daspo, and a final individual was arrested for having thrown a cane against the fans, endangering public safety.
Seven other Daspo, lasting between 1 and 2 years, were imposed on fans involved in riots that occurred on March 4 during the Juve Stabia-Casertana match at the “Romeo Menti” stadium in Castellammare di Stabia, where the supporters, aged between 18 and 45, had been investigated for the possession and use of pyrotechnic devices and dangerous objects.
Finally, a further 1-year Daspo was issued against an individual who, during the Qualiano-Melito match at the “Ness” sports complex in Giugliano, on 5 May, had attacked a linesman following an offside call.
In addition to the incidents related to sporting events, 8 other measures have been imposed Daspo, with durations from 1 to 4 years, against persons convicted of serious crimes such as possession of weapons, continued extortion, stalking, aggravated personal injury, violation of restrictive measures, aggravated brawl, robbery and drug-related crimes.
