Neapolitan Notes: A Journey Through the History of Sound of Naples, will be held at the Casa della Cultura in Palazzo Cavalcanti and the Church of Santa Croce and Purgatorio al Mercato, with free admission until all seats are taken. Organized by Gente Green Aps and promoted by the Municipality of Napoli as part of the “Naples City of Music” project, the initiative aims to enhance and promote the city's rich musical tradition.

Seminars and live music
Carmine Aymone, journalist, music critic and co-artistic director, will lead seven informative seminars. Each 90-minute meeting will explore a different historical period, from 1200 to the present day, with stories, anecdotes and contributions from Neapolitan musicians. The program also includes three live events in Piazza del Mercato, with artists such as Canio Loguercio, Fede 'n' Marlen, Giovanna Panza, Mario Formisano, Gianluca Rovinello and Michele Caso.

The seminars will range from medieval songs to contemporary music, with particular attention to the "heroes" of Neapolitan music such as Pino Daniele and Enzo Gragnaniello. Two special sessions will also be dedicated to the music of the theatrical works of Eduardo De Filippo, with compositions by maestro Nino Rota.
