The show "L'Altro Giacomo" will be performed on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 9:00 PM at the Politeama di Napoli, Via Monte di Dio 80, with Renato Raimo in the role of Puccini. The direction and screenplay are by Renato Raimo, together with Kris B. Writer.
Also performing on stage will be Maria Chiara Battaglia in the role of Elvira, Ivana Canovic as soprano, Davide Piaggio as tenor, and Maestro Carlo Bernini on the piano, who is also responsible for the musical direction of the show, and Andrea Bocelli.
A Tribute to Puccini
The initiative is supported by the Fondazione Festival di Puccini, which contributed to the production by providing costumes, and by the Cultural Association Green_Theatre of Pisa, of which Renato Raimo is artistic director. The performance, one hundred years after the death of the composer Giacomo Puccini, has received acclaim in Italy and abroad. This project aims to present a lesser-known image of Puccini, revealing his human and creative aspects.

The show also explores the composer's female passions and inspirations, including famous arias such as “Cortese Damigella” from “Manon Lescaut” and “Nessun dorma” from “Turandot”. Puccini's humanistic vision is explored with the aim of paying homage to his fragilities and passions in a musical journey.
