Progetto Itaca's commitment continues in January 2025, with charitable initiatives and mental health support programs. A highlight is the theatrical event on January 24th, dedicated to raising funds for the organization's projects.

Itaca Project: 25 years of free support

Founded in Milan 25 years ago, Fondazione Progetto Itaca operates in 17 Italian cities, providing free support for the prevention and treatment of mental distress. The Naples office, opened in 2014, is an essential reference thanks to its innovative services, such as the Work Ordered Day that promotes relationships and autonomy between people. Specially trained volunteers also offer help to families, extending support at a local and national level through the Telephone Helpline.

The Progetto Itaca Napoli Listening Line is active from Monday to Thursday from 10 am to 13 pm at the number 08119645501. It offers empathetic listening and guidance on mental health services. At a national level, the Listening Line is available from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 22 pm.

The activities of the Club Itaca Napoli

The Itaca Napoli Club, active for eight years, has made it possible for members to acquire training and professional skills, ranging from journalism and horticulture activities to sports and creative workshops. The Club's solidarity cuisine uses crops produced in horticulture projects, while sports tournaments and artistic workshops enrich the offer. Recently, the Isolahabile association invited Progetto Itaca to participate in a social inclusion project on a reactivated fishing boat, now a sports and cultural hub.

During a presentation event, a member of the Itaca Club, Gennaro Reder, shared a message, underlining the importance of sailing as a therapeutic and growth experience.

Theatrical performance for charity

The theater company will present 'Giornalisti quasi disoccupati', a comedy that explores the impact of social media on information. The repeat performance on January 24 at the Teatro Bracco in Naples supports the activities of Progetto Itaca. Spectators will be involved in a reflection on the world of information between laughter and food for thought. The cost of the ticket, minus expenses, will go to support the organization's projects.

For more details on the event: Bracco Theatre, Via Tarsia 40, Naples, repeat performance time 21pm, tickets available in the foyer, cost 30 euros for non-season ticket holders and 15 euros for season ticket holders.
