A burial dating back to between the 1st and 10th century BC was discovered in Bonito, in the province of Avellino , during the clearing of a piece of land.
The workers found a large stone slab that was removed, thus revealing the remains of a human body. The Carabinieri, together with officials from the Superintendency, supervised the excavation from which an entire burial emerged that was declared of “archaeological interest”.
The discovery took place in the same area where a few months ago other important archaeological finds were discovered with artefacts dating back to the pre-Roman era between the 6th and 7th century BC.

this discovery in Bonito is very interesting, but I wonder why it is not talked about more in general? there are so many things we can discover about our past and it would be nice to know more.
