Trudie Styler presented to London the documentary 'Can I come in? An ode to Naples', a work dedicated to the city of Napoli which has aroused great interest.
During the event at the Italian Cultural Institute, Styler shared his appreciation for the sense of community of Napoli, although he noticed a lack of job opportunities.
During the presentation, Styler described her special connection with the capital of Campania. Her “love story” with Naples, which began during a film festival in Ischia, is expressed through the narration of the lives of those who live in the city. The choice to dedicate an ode to Naples finds its roots in a sincere bond between the author and the social fabric of the city.
Styler narrated her personal and direct approach to Naples, walking the streets and knocking on the doors of the inhabitants to learn their stories. The positive and welcoming response of the Neapolitans allowed her to enter into deep contact with the local culture, evoking in her memories of when, as a child, she lived in a village in the north of England.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including the Italian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Inigo Lambertini, the director of the Institute Francesco Bongarrà and the CEO of Rai Cinema Paolo Del Brocco.
