Marano – The girl who committed a violent attack on a girl her own age (both 12 years old) who had been lured into a trap by some classmates has been identified.
The Carabinieri intervened and identified the perpetrator of the attack, also 12 years old and resident in the same locality. The competent authorities have been informed and the case could be transferred to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
Social services are also likely to be involved to investigate the situation and provide the necessary support.
According to the newspaper Il Mattino, the young attacker is related to a well-known member of a local clan, the Polverinos, influential in Marano and the surrounding areas. The man has currently been in detention for several years.
“Now we need an exemplary punishment and we need to intervene on his family too” – declared the deputy of the Green-left wing Francesco Emilio Borrelli who had publicly denounced the incident – “if the relationship with the Polverinos were to be confirmed it would be further confirmation of how much family contexts affect education and values, in fact it was a raid in full Camorra style, only in baby version.” “Also all the other protagonists” – continues the parliamentarian – “from those who set the trap to those who filmed will have to be identified, reported and punished”
