The investigating judge of the Court of Napoli The North has ordered the immediate trial of the two adults involved in the rapes of the two cousins aged 10 and 12 which occurred in Caivano between June and July 2023.
Article Key Points
The hearing has been set for April 2. The decision of the investigating judge is similar to that taken by the investigating judge of the Court for minors of Naples who ordered the immediate trial for the 7 minors involved, setting the hearing for March 28. The two cousins were raped in Parco Verde di Caivano.
Lawyers Angelo Pisani and Antonella Esposito, who are assisting the families of the two cousins, declared:
“These are horrible crimes and acts of violence that must be punished with exemplary sentences, above all to send a signal and establish respect for the rules in a society and youth world that is unfortunately increasingly chaotic and dangerous.”
The request for immediate judgment
The lawyers hope that justice will act promptly with measures equally protecting the right to maintenance of family affections for the offended minors who are detained in family homes with the severing of all affection and parental relationship.
The hope is that the victims will soon be able to embrace their parents and family members again. Lawyer Pisani stated: “As soon as possible, the institutions also have the duty to guarantee the protection of the affections of the small victims still entrusted to the family home and separated from their parents (also victims and in any case courageous in reporting and asking for help from the State) against every constitutional principle and to provide every type of psychological and social assistance to reunite the family and not add further insult to the very serious damage and violence of the case.”
A case that has put the spotlight on degradation and abandoned suburbs held hostage by crime.
