During the territorial control activity carried out yesterday, the agents of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station intervened in Via Mezzocannone in Napoli following a report from a university security officer who had stopped the person responsible for a theft.
The man, a 19-year-old Romanian citizen, had been caught shortly before after stealing a laptop with accessories and keys from the University offices. At the time of his arrest, he was also found in possession of a knife, which is why he was arrested for aggravated theft and reported for possession of objects capable of causing offence.
The intervention of the State Police allowed the situation to be resolved promptly, bringing the person responsible to justice and restoring safety in the Via Mezzocannone area.
