The region Campania approved today the balance 2023 of Eav, a regional public transport company, which has a profit of approximately 2,5 million euros, "further strengthening the net book value and therefore the value of the company which from 2015 to 2023 went from 10 to 161 million euros", underlines a note from Eav. The sole shareholder Campania Region has confirmed the current board of directors in office with Umberto De Gregorio as president.
“I thank the President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca of the trust once again granted. During our management – says De Gregorio – we have maintained the commitment to keep the company in economic and financial equilibrium, after the rescue that took place at the end of 2016. In the period 2011-2016 the company recorded losses in the balance sheet for a total of 315 million euros. In the years 2016-2023 it recorded profits in the balance sheet for approximately 100 million euros.
This capital strengthening has allowed us to continue with the investment plan of approximately 5 billion euros with 81 construction sites open to date for a total renewal of the railway infrastructure and the train fleet. A complex job that, despite a thousand problems, we will continue to carry forward with the strategic contribution of the partner, the workers, the unions and all the actors in the process”, concludes De Gregorio.
