This was stated by the police commissioner of Naples, Maurizio Agricola, speaking at the fifteenth edition of the “Ammaturo Award – Legality City of Naples”, established in memory of the director of the Naples Flying Squad Antonio Ammaturo, killed on 15 July 1982 in Piazza Nicola Amore together with the selected agent Pasquale Paola.
The ceremony was preceded by the laying of laurel wreaths at the site of the ambush.
“We must ask ourselves – said the prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari – how society has changed, not how the Camorra has changed.

First place ex aequo to the Flying Squad Staff who successfully carried out an investigation, which concluded with the identification and arrest of the perpetrator of the murder of Giovanni Cutolo which occurred on 31.8.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX.
2) Mobile Squad;
Second place went to the Flying Squad personnel who conducted a judicial police activity which ended with the execution of a precautionary custody order against 2 members of the Di Lauro clan, found responsible for mafia-type association, possession and carrying of firearms in a public place, kidnapping, torture, murder and destruction of a corpse against Green Jasmine, which occurred in Naples on November 21, 2004.
3) Mobile Squad and Police Station of San Giovanni – Barra;
Third place to the Staff of the Flying Squad and the San Giovanni Police Station who carried out the investigations into the murder aggravated by the mafia method perpetrated on 12 March 2024 against the Engineer Coppola Salvatore concluded with the execution of two arrest warrants by the PM, against the perpetrator and the instigator of the murder and with the criminal seizure of a weapon.
