Salerno, wounds three peers in a club on the seafront: 17-year-old arrested

On the night between September 13th and 14th, an escalation of violence rocked a well-known nightclub on the Salerno coast, resulting in a brawl involving several young people.

At the end of the violent fight, three people were injured by gunshots.

The investigations, conducted by the Salerno Flying Squad, led to the arrest of a 17-year-old, believed to be responsible for the serious injuries. The young man was identified and stopped in the hours following the incident, thanks to the testimonies collected and the images from the surveillance cameras present in the area.

According to what has been reconstructed so far, the fight began from a trivial disagreement, which quickly degenerated into a violent assault.

The arrested man, armed with a pistol, allegedly fired several shots at his opponents, hitting them in various parts of the body. The victims, all young, were rushed to the“Ruggi d'Aragona” hospital of Salerno, where they were hospitalized in serious conditions.

Investigations are still ongoing to clarify the exact dynamics of the facts and to ascertain whether there are other people involved in the attack. Investigators are carefully analyzing the images from the video surveillance cameras, interviewing witnesses and acquiring evidence useful for reconstructing the incident.

Checks on the safety of the premises

In parallel with the investigations into the assault, the State Police has started a series of checks inside the nightclub where the violent episode occurred. The officers are verifying compliance with the rules on safety and public order, in order to ascertain any responsibilities on the part of the management of the club.

The minor in custody

The arrested 17-year-old was taken to the First Reception Institute in Naples, awaiting questioning for validation by the Juvenile Judge of Salerno. The young man will have to answer to the charge of attempted triple homicide, a particularly serious crime that provides severe penalties even for minors.

The episode of violence that occurred in Salerno has caused great concern among the public.
