The man found dead this morning in a parking lot in the La Pacciana industrial area, on the outskirts of Foligno, was reportedly stabbed about ten times with a blade. The victim, Salvatore Postiglione, a 56-year-old man of Neapolitan origins, worked for a construction company in Foligno and, according to the reconstruction, had arrived at the parking lot by car to pick up some colleagues for their journey to work.
When help arrived, the car was still running, while the victim's body was found near the edge of the road that runs alongside the clearing. At the moment, investigators are keeping all hypotheses open. Footage from cameras in the area has been acquired and the work colleagues, who apparently arrived at the meeting point when the attack had already taken place, have been taken to the police station to be heard as witnesses.
The police are examining the images from surveillance cameras, which could provide useful elements to clarify the dynamics of the murder of this fifty-year-old Italian bricklayer. The investigators, who have interviewed several witnesses, are not putting forward any hypothesis for now on the motive for the murder and have announced that, at the moment, no people have been arrested. The investigations are entrusted to the Perugia mobile squad and the Foligno police station.
The man was stabbed in the parking lot and, despite the help called by a passerby, he later died at the hospital in Foligno.
