The Prosecutor's Office Napoli has ordered the arrest of Pasquale Punch, 38 years old, as part of the investigation into the explosion that devastated a quiet home in via Patacca in Ercolano, transformed into a clandestine laboratory for illegal fireworks.
Deputy prosecutors Stella Castaldo and Vincenzo Toscano accuse Punzo of extremely serious crimes: multiple voluntary homicide with eventual intent, possession and manufacturing of unconventional explosives, in addition to the charge of caporalato.
The tragedy caused the death of twins Sara and Aurora Esposito, aged 26, and 18-year-old Samuel Tafciu, who were overwhelmed by the violence of the explosion.
The precautionary measure was notified by the Carabinieri of Ercolano, who transferred Punzo to the prison of Poggioreale. The man, assisted by the lawyer Domenico Scarpone, is not the only suspect: also Julia Eboli, his ex-partner and mother of the 13-year-old who formally owns the house, is at the center of the investigation.
Tomorrow morning at 9am we will proceed with the assignment of the autopsy examinations, a crucial step to shed light on the details of this tragedy that has deeply shaken the community.

This is a very complicated situation, I hope the truth comes out. The people involved must face the consequences of their actions. The loss of human life is a tragic thing and should never happen.
This is a very serious and sad case. I can't believe a fireworks lab was in a house like this. I hope justice will be served and the families of the victims will get justice.
