Big hit foiled during the night by a patrol of the Carabinieri. Two criminals, a 35-year-old and an 18-year-old from Naples, were caught red-handed while they were robbing a construction site in via Tuoro.
During a routine patrol, the officers noticed the gate to the forced construction site and decided to investigate. Inside, they caught the two thieves loading construction materials worth over €3.000, including wood panels, metal frames, and scaffolding boards, into a rented van.
The 35-year-old, already known to law enforcement for a criminal record, and his underage accomplice were arrested and placed under house arrest. They will face charges of aggravated theft. The stolen property was returned to its rightful owner, who filed a complaint.

It is a very serious matter for two people to steal from a construction site, especially if one of them is a minor. I hope these things never happen again and that the police continue to do their job.
