La Shazar Gallery a new exhibition of the artist will open on December 12th Gianfranco De Angelis, by title "PatternCommunity“. Curated by Marco Izzolino, the solo show will occupy the spaces of the gallery located in via Scura, presenting an exhibition path that challenges the traditional visual experience.
A Visual and Conceptual Exploration
De Angelis' works are distinguished by the use of large canvases and bright colors, characterized by an obsessive repetition of graphic modules. The parallel lines, apparently perfect, reveal subtle variations that express a form of hidden subjectivism. These traits induce a reflection on the visual language, apparently pop, soliciting thoughts on the complex communicative mechanisms of modern society.
Technology and Social Behavior
Curator Marco Izzolino observes how the works suggest a meditation on the effects of technology. Although it facilitates an unprecedented connection between people, it also carries the risk of homogenizing their actions, compressing individuality. De Angelis' creations require slow fruition, allowing the audience to appreciate the minimal variations in visual details.
Art as Reaction
Not only contemplative, De Angelis' works are also provocative, using intense colors to question technological homogenization and invite us to revalue individuality. These works represent a vehicle of reaction in the context of the digital age, stimulating a reflection on the personal role and the essence of uniqueness. The exhibition will remain open to the public until February 1, 2025, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 14:30 pm to 19:30 pm, with access also available by appointment.

The Gianfranco De Angelis exhibition seems very interesting, especially for how he uses colors and shapes. I hope to be able to go and see the works, even if it seems a bit complicated to find the time. But art is important.
