The Teatro Sannazaro is preparing to host "Café Chantant Rebelle," a production that will run from December 20 to January 12, 2025. The show, conceived and performed by Lara Sansone, features names such as Lucio Pierri, Massimo Peluso, Mario Aterrano, Antonio Marino, Tony Guido, and Mario Andrisani. The event will be enhanced by the Café Chantant ballet and orchestra.

A format of excellence

The opera's scenes are curated by Francesca Mercurio and Michele Gigi, while the music is entrusted to Ettore Gatta, who also takes on the role of orchestra conductor. The production boasts costumes designed by Romeo Gigli and Mariano Ranno, with choreography created by Alessandro Di Napoli. The lighting design is the work of Luigi Della Monica, and the makeup and hair are managed by Ciro Florio, with accessories by Carmine Russo.

The Café Chantant tradition

'Punctual as every year, Café Chantant returns', says Lara Sansone, who underlines how this format expresses the vitality and inclusiveness of the Neapolitan people. This project, which debuted thirty years ago, continues to be successful, representing the city of Naples through a modern key that still retains roots in tradition.

An immersive experience

The spectators of “Café Chantant Rebelle” become an integral part of the show, overcoming the traditional theatrical barrier of the fourth wall, participating in a collective event of music and entertainment. The sciantosa, the central figure of the performance, becomes a symbol of personal and social connections, offering a reflection of one’s aspirations and feelings, and demonstrating how the desire for entertainment remains ever-present.
