A doctor on duty at the Maresca hospital in Greek's tower was arrested yesterday by the police of the Flying Squad of Napoli and the Torre del Greco Police Station. The charge? Illegal possession of weapons.
During a house search in Trecase, the police found a real arsenal hidden in a closet in the basement of the doctor's home. Among the weapons seized: a Smith & Wesson .38 caliber revolver, reported stolen from St. George in Cremano in 2026, and a Beretta pistol with the serial number erased, ready for use.
But that's not all: during the search, numerous rounds of ammunition of various calibers were also found, and inside the doctor's car, a balaclava, a traffic sign and a flashing light, instruments that could suggest possible illicit use of the weapons.
The arrested man, after the formal procedures, was taken to the Poggioreale prison. The investigations, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples, are still ongoing to ascertain any connections with other crimes.

It's strange that a doctor could have such dangerous weapons in his house. If it's true, we should ask ourselves how it's possible that such qualified people can have access to such stuff. I hope justice is done.
