Caserta – The Coldiretti Caserta expresses satisfaction for the suspension of the ban on equine grazing in the Matese Regional Park, an important result thanks to the constant commitment of the provincial federation of the sector.
Giuseppe Miselli, Director of Coldiretti Caserta, comments on the decision as follows: “This measure allows the use, for one year, of areas where grazing by horses was prohibited. It is an expected decision, pending the definition of a specific plan by the management body.”
The measure is the result of a long process that saw the approval of the “Vademecum fida pasto” thanks to the initiative of Coldiretti Campania, through a working table promoted by the Department of Agriculture of the Campania Region.
Miselli concludes: “This is a fundamental step towards a clearer and more efficient management of grazing on the Matese, in favor of breeders and the protection of the territory. It is a result of great value for the companies of the Alto Casertano and for the entire Matese community. Now we hope that the final approval of the grazing plan will soon be achieved.”
