There are 42.249 new cases of Covid registered in Italy in the last 24 hours against the 56.015 of yesterday and above all the 47.039 infections of last Wednesday, a reduction of 10% on a weekly basis.
The swabs processed are 294.611 (yesterday 371.221) with the positivity rate dropping from 15,1% to 14,3%. The deaths are 115 (yesterday 158). The total victims since the beginning of the pandemic rise to 164.846. Hospitalizations are decreasing.
In fact, patients in intensive care are 20 fewer (yesterday -5), 338 in total with 33 daily admissions, and those in ordinary wards are 167 fewer (yesterday -156) for a total of 8.412. This is what emerges from the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.
The region with the highest number of cases is Lombardy with 6.157 infections, followed by Campania (+4.356), Veneto (+4.141), Emilia Romagna (+3.892) and Lazio (+3.859). The total cases since the beginning of the pandemic rise to 16.915.301. The discharged/recovered in the last 24 hours are 84.344 (yesterday 76.824) for a total that rises to 15.709.259. The currently positive are 41.776 fewer (yesterday -20.783) for a total of 1.041.196. Of these, 1.032.446 are in home isolation.
