A large-scale operation conducted by the Carabinieri of the Naples company Bagnoli, supported by the Guardia di Finanza military, the staff of the Prevention Department ASL Napoli 1 and the Labour Inspectorate of Naples, has led to significant results in the neighbourhoods of Posillipo and Bagnoli.
The operation, which began at night and ended at dawn, involved the control of numerous commercial premises in the area. Among these, the restaurant and storage business of a premises located in Piazza Sannazzaro 76 was suspended. During the inspection, the Carabinieri seized 80 kilos of untraceable or poorly preserved foodstuffs, imposing a fine of 2.500 euros on the owner.
Another restaurant at Via Caracciolo 12 suffered a similar fate, with the military seizing 150 kilos of untraceable or poorly preserved food products. In this case, the owner received a fine of 4.500 euros and the suspension of the bar, restaurant and warehouse activities. Also at Via Caracciolo, but at number 10, another restaurant business was suspended. The owner was fined 1.000 euros.
The operation also included rigorous Checks on compliance with the Highway Code, with particular attention to motorcyclists without helmets. At the end of the night, 16 scooters were seized, with fines totaling 11.500 euros. In addition to the seizures and fines, eight people were reported.
Among these, two for tax evasion: a 54 year old Bedroom, found in Naples despite being subject to a ban on returning to the municipality, and a 20-year-old in possession of a switchblade. In addition, four illegal parking attendants were identified and reported, while six young people were reported to the prefecture for possession of small quantities of narcotics.
