For the last farewell to the three victims of the tragedy of a week ago, Civil Protection and the Red Cross have set up two thousand chairs as well as some gazebos to provide shelter from the heat.
In Naples, a day of mourning was declared with flags at half-mast in all the institutional buildings. The President of the Region De Luca, the Mayor of Naples, Manfredi, the Vice President of the Senate Mariolina Castellone, the Prefect Michele di Bari, the former President of the Chamber Roberto Fico were among the representatives of the institutions present.
In the collapse of the Vela gallery bridge, in addition to the three victims, twelve other people were injured, including seven girls under the age of 10. Four seriously injured people are still hospitalized in the city hospitals, two adults and two minors. Negligent collapse and negligent homicide are the hypotheses of the crime of the investigation opened by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office.
