The anti-mafia prevention activity led by the prefect of continues without stopping Napoli, Michele Di Bari, with the aim of protecting the legal economy from the infiltration of organized crime.
Last January 14, eight prohibitory measures were issued against as many companies operating in the capital of Campania and in the neighboring municipalities of the metropolitan city. The companies involved, based in Naples, Quarto and Qualiano, cover various economic sectors: construction, food and beverage supply, funeral services and food trade.
These areas, as underlined in a note from the Prefecture, are considered particularly vulnerable to mafia infiltration and for this reason included in the so-called "white lists", that is, the lists of economic sectors considered to be most sensitive and subject to rigorous Checks.
“The fight against mafia infiltration in sensitive economic sectors is a priority – declared the prefect Michele Di Bari –. Through these bans, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting and protecting the legal economy, ensuring a safer environment for entrepreneurs who operate in compliance with the rules".
