The companies involved, based in Naples, Quarto, and Qualiano, cover various economic sectors: construction, food and beverage supply, funeral services, and food retailing.

These areas, as underlined in a note from the Prefecture, are considered particularly vulnerable to mafia infiltration and are therefore included in the so-called “white lists”, that is, the lists of economic sectors considered to be most sensitive and subject to rigorous controls.

“The fight against mafia infiltration in sensitive economic sectors is a priority – declared the prefect Michele Di Bari –. Through these bans, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting and protecting the legal economy, ensuring a safer environment for entrepreneurs who operate in compliance with the rules".
