In the waters in front of the hamlet of Santa Maria di Castellabate, in the province of Salerno, the Coast Guard of Agropoli rescued two people following the fire and subsequent sinking of a 21-meter vessel.

A Sar patrol boat and an Alfa class vessel intervened to provide rescue. The two occupants were transferred to Coast Guard vessels and transported to shore, where an ambulance was also waiting for them as a precaution.
