Checkmate for the drug lords of Ercolano and neighboring municipalities: thanks to a blitz, the Carabinieri arrested 21 people (14 in prison and 7 under house arrest).
The investigation involved two groups that controlled drug dealing hubs in Ercolano itself and in neighboring municipalities. The investigation was coordinated by the Naples Prosecutor's Office and focused on the massive daily drug dealing that occurred in the hubs.
The investigations revealed the frequent involvement of young women riding scooters with children in tow who acted as couriers and delivered the drugs to homes.

During the investigations, which covered a period of more than a year, several people were arrested red-handed and various types of drugs were seized (hashish, cocaine, crack) and cash sums.
Those arrested are all accused of association for the purpose of drug trafficking and possession for the purpose of dealing of various types of drugs.
