Accident in Battipaglia: car breaks through barriers and overturns, street lighting poles knocked down – Serious road accident on the evening of Tuesday 22 October along the provincial road Aversana, in Battipaglia. For reasons still being investigated, the driver of a car lost control of the vehicle.
He then crashed through the crash barriers and ended up off the road, with the car then overturning. The impact knocked down several street lamp posts, causing considerable damage. At the scene of theaccident Rescuers intervened immediately.
The 118 men transported the driver to the hospital to undergo a CT scan and radiological tests, in order to verify any injuries. The police, who arrived on the scene, are carrying out the necessary surveys to reconstruct the dynamics of the incident and clarify the causes that led to the overturning of the vehicle.
