Five years of imprisonment for Emanuele Libero Schiavone, son of the boss Francesco known as Sandokan, and four years for Francis Reccia, son of Oreste, another prominent member of the Casalesi clan.
These are the requests made by the public prosecutor Vincenzo Ranieri during his closing speech on Wednesday before the judge for the preliminary hearing of the Court of Napoli.
The two defendants are accused of illegal possession and carrying of firearms in a public place, aggravated by the use of mafia methods. The weapons were allegedly intended to consolidate the power of the Camorra group to which they belong, in response to intimidating actions presumably carried out by rivals for control of the drug dealing areas in Casal di Principe.
One of the key episodes dates back to June 7, when machine gun shots were fired at the front door of the Schiavone family home.
During the closing speech, the prosecutor Ranieri reconstructed the attempts of Schiavone Jr., released from prison last April, to reorganise the clan of Casalesi. He also mentioned a conversation that took place in prison between Schiavone and his father, in which Sandokan he had expressed his intention to collaborate with justice, a project later interrupted by the Naples Prosecutor's Office.
The next hearing is scheduled for the end of the month, when the defendants' lawyers will speak: Paolo Caterino, Domenico Della Gatta and Domenico Dello Iacono.
