A 40-year-old detained in Secondigliano for drug-related crimes, released from prison thanks to semi-liberty, has decided not to return, disappearing into thin air since last August.
The investigations, coordinated by the Scampia Station, immediately focused on the fugitive's family, considered a key link in tracking him down. Intense shadowing and stakeouts characterized the weeks following his disappearance, but without any concrete results.

The turning point came last night, when the 40-year-old's wife and daughter were spotted leaving the family home on a scooter. Officers, stationed at a safe distance, followed them to Giugliano in Campania, where they raided the home where the fugitive was hiding.
The man, surprised by the sudden raid by the police, was arrested and taken to the Poggioreale prison. His escape, which lasted several months, ended thanks to the tenacity of the Carabinieri who, despite the difficulties, never stopped looking for him.

It's incredible how a person can disappear for so long. But how can you not return to prison after receiving semi-liberty? Family members seem to play an important role, but the investigations have been complicated.
It's really strange how a person can run away for so many months and then be caught so easily. The carabinieri did a good job but I wonder if they could have done more before.
