Marcianise. A bold and well-organized plan has shattered the night's quiet marcianise: it all happened around 4:30 in the morning. A gang of criminals, "armed" with a excavator and an articulated lorry, pulled off a spectacular robbery at the Banca di Credito Popolare.
Article Key Points
The criminals blocked four streets in the vicinity of the bank, creating a sort of inaccessible quadrilateral. The articulated lorry was strategically positioned at the intersection of Via Cesare Battisti and Via Matteotti, preventing passage. From there, the excavator went into action, which in a few minutes broke through the cash machine of the bank.
The bandits left an excavator and a tractor trailer on site
Not content, the thieves used the same vehicle to open a second breach near Via Campania, where the safety deposit boxes. After collecting the loot, the group fled south, presumably in a car or van, leaving the excavator and the articulated lorry behind.
The police and carabinieri arrived on the scene when the criminals had already disappeared. The robbery, described as “really big,” left residents and passersby in disbelief at the audacity and precision of the criminal action. Investigations are underway to identify those responsible.
