Accident on the Appia, husband also dies: 24-year-old Ukrainian resident of Carinaro investigated.
The man involved in the tragic road accident that occurred last May 2022 along the Appia state road, in the stretch that crosses the territory of the municipality of Vitulazio, died yesterday. Francesco Di Rauso fought for about three months. His wife, Assunta Maddalena Benincasa, originally from Camigliano, died a few hours after the tragic accident, in the resuscitation room of the Caserta hospital.
Her husband, Francesco, was seriously injured and admitted to the Caserta hospital, in the intensive care unit. The young man, a 24-year-old Ukrainian immigrant, who allegedly caused the car accident, is being investigated for manslaughter.
The entire community of Capua gathers around the Di Rauso and Benincasa family in such a sad and painful moment. The young man driving the car that, according to initial findings, caused the accident during which a woman from Capua died, is being investigated for manslaughter.
This is a 24-year-old immigrant from Ukraine, resident in Carinaro. He was driving a Golf when, along the Appia state road, in the stretch that crosses the territory of the municipality of Vitulazio, he attempted to overtake, touching the car he was overtaking and thus triggering the pile-up that involved other vehicles. The Carabinieri of the Capua company are investigating the case.
