An unprecedented tragedy has occurred in Mestre, where a bus fell from a overpass, provocando almeno 21 morti e 18 feriti.
The scene that unfolded was apocalyptic: the bus ended up on the road below, catching fire and trapping the passengers between the crumpled metal sheets.

From the first surveys carried out at the site of the accident, it emerged that the bus fell from over ten meters, after violently hitting the double protective barrier of the overpass.
Before falling, the vehicle broke through the protective guard rail and the metal barrier that delimits the pedestrian crossing. It then crashed between a warehouse and the railway tracks.
The community of Mestre is mourning this tragedy, which has deeply affected the evening. The authorities are working tirelessly to ascertain the circumstances of the accident and to offer support to the families of the victims.
Such a sad situation represents an emergency of national proportions that requires the intervention of the highest institutions and the adoption of measures to ensure that similar tragedies do not happen again in the future.
