Arzano – Illegal construction sites and accidental deaths: entrepreneurs reported and area seized. Joint operation by local police and labor inspectorate. The topic of safety in the workplace has always attracted the attention of local police officers in the area.
The aim is to avoid “white deaths” or accidents with permanent injuries of workers treated like cannon fodder. The umpteenth intervention was carried out by the men directed by the commander of the local police Biagio Chiariello who, together with the labor inspectorate unit of the ASL, entered several construction sites finding violations of safety in the workplace.
The workers and owners were stopped and identified and summoned to the police station arzano together with the clients and technicians. Following the checks, some of them were reported. Three companies ended up under the magnifying glass of the investigations, one of which was found to also lack documentation proving the failure to dispose of waste on the construction site and others with scaffolding that did not comply with standards.
Three reported and an area seized. Over twenty thousand euros in fines for violations of the rules of Legislative Decree 81/2008 on safety. The activities continued with contestation of the rules of the highway code against several offenders for a total of two hundred violations detected.
