The officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station arrested a 22-year-old Venezuelan with a criminal record for illegal possession of narcotics.Article Key Points
During a territorial control operation in Vico Cappella Pontenuovo, the officers noticed a man who, upon leaving a house, gave something to another person in exchange for a banknote.
The buyer then walked away hastily, arousing the suspicion of the police who proceeded to check the man.
Drugs and money seized
During the check, the man was found in possession of 2 packages of marijuana for a weight of 4 grams, 2 packages of cocaine and 20 euros in cash. A search carried out in the entrance hall of the building where the exchange took place led to the discovery of another 41 packages of cocaine for a total weight of 8 grams, hidden behind the entrance door.
In light of what was ascertained, the 22-year-old was arrested and taken to the security cells of the Police Station. The seized drugs were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
