Article Key Points
Objectives and Purposes of the Agreement
The agreement, which will last three years, includes a rich calendar of events, conferences, exhibitions, advanced training courses and internships. This highly valuable cultural investment will not entail any cost for the actors involved, offering Neapolitan architects the opportunity to deepen their experiences and case studies and to acquire the best and most innovative strategies for heritage conservation. It will also be an opportunity to promote and disseminate knowledge of the heritage of the Vesuvian area.
Enhancement of the Territory and Involvement of the Local Community
One of the main objectives of the agreement is to develop hypotheses for the valorization of an increasingly larger territory, where archaeological realities can act as a driving force also for modern local realities, with particular attention to existing artisan, cultural and social traditions. The initiatives will take place in the Park, in areas of cultural exchange with the active participation of the local community.
Coordination and Technical Scientific Committee
The coordination of the activities is entrusted to a technical-scientific committee, which includes the General Director of the Park, Gabriel Zuchtriegel, and the President of the Order of Architects of Naples, Lorenzo Capobianco, as well as the architect Paola Marzullo, contact person for the Order, the architect Arianna Spinosa, Head of the Archaeological Parks, Exhibition Sites and Deposits area, and the engineer Vincenzo Calvanese, Head of the Technical Office of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii.
