Boscotrecase – The Carabinieri of the Naples Labour Inspectorate, with the support of the Command Station of trecase, have executed an order of the GIP of the Court of Torre Annunziata which provides for a 12-month ban from acting as manager and/or supervisor of individual and commercial enterprises, in addition to the preventive seizure of 100.928,59 euros.
The measure concerns a 35-year-old Chinese citizen, accused of illicit intermediation and labor exploitation.
According to the investigations, coordinated by the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office, the man, de facto owner of a commercial tool business in Boscotrecase, allegedly employed workers in exploitative conditions, taking advantage of the workers' state of need.
Despite being regularly employed, the employees received wages lower than those provided for by the national collective agreement and operated in violation of the rules on working hours and safety.
The investigation also brought to light a particularly serious case: the entrepreneur allegedly employed a minor in exploitative conditions, assigning her heavy tasks and violating the protections on working hours and the safety of young workers. She was also allegedly paid a salary lower than the contractual standards.
The operation confirms the commitment of law enforcement to combat labor exploitation and ensure compliance with worker protection regulations.
